Look at all that adorable innocence! Looking at them you would never guess what they are capable of. That sweet doll in the middle is our newest addition, Nali Ann. She has been an absolute peach since she was born (which was shortly before this picture was taken). Now miss Nali is three months old and her sweet smiles help me keep my sanity.
Nali got hungry at 8:30 this morning so I sleepily hauled her into my bed to nurse. As I was slowly waking up I heard hysterical giggling coming from downstairs. Then I heard Avaya talking about coloring. This is when I knew there was going to be bad news awaiting me once I made it down there. I woke up my husband to go check on them. The giggles stopped the second he walked into the living room. This confirmed that they were doing something they shouldn’t be. I finished Feeding the baby and hurried downstairs to asses the damage. On my way out of my bedroom I tripped over my sisters bridal shower gift which was now spread all over the floor. The envelope was chilling with the card no where to be seen. I walked into a living room covered in yellow crumbs. Our freshly painted radiator was covered in creative pen drawings with a pen sitting next to it. Not sure where the pen came from because I hid all of the pens in I could find in a cupboard that I can barely reach when I stand on the counter. Moving to the dining room I found teeny parts of the dining room table peeking at me through the sea of goldfish that covered it. Some of the school lay on the floor as well. As I reached the kitchen I found the card on the floor. I opened it to find my first victory of the day. They had not wrecked it at all! Sometimes it’s the little things! I got to work on the pen with the magic eraser. We go through these like they are going out of style. After twenty minutes of scrubbing and with only half an eraser left, the radiator was clean. Davin had already taken care of getting the kids in trouble so I made my way upstairs to get ready for church. After I was ready I cleaned up the gift. The tissue paper was no where to be seen. Going back downstairs I pulled out the trusty broom and cleaned up all the goldfish. I made the kids pick them up while I swept. Completely pointless but they hate cleaning up their messes so I keep hoping making them do it will stop the messes. I got the kids ready and we ate breakfast. Well I did anyway the kids weren’t very hungry after eating enough goldfish to feed a small village. We all sat in the living room and called into the phone patch. By the time church was over the kids were all sleeping. It must be tiring to wake up at seven AM to destroy the house. Davin and I decided to take a nap as well. The rest of the day was a pretty lazy one. Before the kids went to bed they were trotting around the house in costumes. Dayton was rolling on the floor in a monkey costume and Avaya had on her sparkly heels. She walked over to Davin and yanked off her shoe to show him the princess printed inside. “Look it’s Anna! Do you think she’s hot?”. We died laughing. That girl listens way too much. And she picks up on everything! Kids sure are good entertainment. Now the ruggers are going to sleep. Well actually they are playing in their beds thinking they are being discreet. Nali is snuggled up on my lap in the recliner. The peace feels wonderful. Though I am still wondering what happened to the tissue paper, maybe the kids ate it? Kidding! These little stinkers keep us busy, good thing they are so cute!
